Dedicated Internet Access

Uncontended. Uncompromised.

Not all internet connections are created equal. AgileSP's Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) service is a private, uncontended connection that delivers your full contracted capacity at all times, backed by a carrier-grade SLA and a network built for performance at scale.

AgileSP Dedicated Internet Access — uncontended business-grade connectivity

What is DIA?

Predictable, high-performance internet.

Dedicated Internet Access is a business-grade internet service that provides a private, symmetrical connection to the internet — no sharing, no contention, no degradation at peak hours. Unlike residential or shared broadband products, DIA circuits are engineered from the customer site directly into AgileSP's core network, with guaranteed throughput, prioritised routing, and defined fault response commitments.

The result is a predictable, high-performance internet connection that behaves consistently whether it is 09:00 on a Monday morning or 18:00 on a Friday afternoon. DIA is available from 10 Mbps up to 100G depending on your location and access infrastructure, with IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack as standard and your choice of BGP or static routing for the handoff.

What makes DIA different

Features that matter.

Uncontended

Dedicated bandwidth, not shared with other customers.

Symmetrical speeds

Equal upload and download capacity, essential for cloud applications and video conferencing.

Carrier-grade SLA

Committed uptime with financial remedies for non-compliance.

IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack

As standard on all DIA circuits.

BGP or static routing

Your choice of handoff method.

Scalable bandwidth

From 10 Mbps up to 100G, upgrade without changing physical infrastructure.

24/7 NOC monitoring

Proactive fault detection and resolution around the clock.

Diverse routing options

Physically redundant paths available for business-critical sites.

Port density

Deliver on 1GE, 10GE, 25GE, 40GE, or 100GE interfaces.

Carrier-grade backbone

Backed by a wholesale carrier network.

AgileSP's DIA service is delivered off the same infrastructure that powers our wholesale IP Transit and NLD products — a network that carries traffic for ISPs, mobile operators, and enterprises across South Africa and beyond.

Your connection rides a carrier-grade backbone with full traffic engineering, redundant routing paths, and a 24/7 NOC managing the infrastructure around the clock.

AgileSP's network is anchored at carrier-neutral facilities in London (Equinix LD8) and Amsterdam, with broad peering across South African and international Internet Exchanges. This global infrastructure translates directly into DIA performance — traffic from your office in Johannesburg, Cape Town, or Durban reaches international cloud providers, SaaS platforms, and content networks via well-engineered, low-latency paths.

Cloud-first businesses

Ideal for cloud-first businesses.

Enterprises running their operations on cloud platforms — Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or hybrid infrastructure — depend on internet performance in a way that was not true a decade ago. Latency, packet loss, and throughput directly affect productivity, application performance, and the experience of every employee and customer.

AgileSP's DIA service is designed with cloud-first businesses in mind. Our broad IXP presence means that traffic to major cloud providers is exchanged locally where possible, reducing the reliance on long-haul transit paths and delivering lower latency to the applications your business depends on.

Who is DIA for?

DIA for every business.

Enterprises and corporates

Mission-critical internet for head offices, data centres, and primary production sites.

Financial services

Guaranteed performance and SLA for trading, payments, and real-time transaction systems.

Hosting and cloud providers

High-capacity dedicated internet for server infrastructure and cloud workloads.

Media and broadcast

Symmetrical high-capacity connections for live streaming, content uploads, and remote production.

Law firms, professional services

Reliable, secure internet with a documented SLA for compliance and business continuity purposes.

Availability

Available at South Africa's key data centres.

Johannesburg

Teraco JB1, JB3, and off-net delivery

Cape Town

Teraco CT1 and off-net delivery

Teraco DB1 and off-net delivery

For businesses already colocating equipment at these facilities, DIA can be ordered as an on-net service with same-building delivery — no external fibre required.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is Dedicated Internet Access?
DIA is a private, uncontended internet circuit connecting your premises or data centre directly to AgileSP's network. Unlike broadband, the bandwidth is not shared with other customers — your contracted speed is available to you at all times.
What is the difference between DIA and standard business broadband?
Standard business broadband typically runs on shared infrastructure where many customers share the same upstream capacity. DIA is a dedicated circuit. You get a committed, guaranteed bandwidth level with a formal SLA — not "best effort" delivery that degrades under load.
What SLA do you offer?
Our DIA service includes a carrier-grade SLA with committed uptime targets and defined Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). Specific SLA terms are documented in your service agreement. Contact our team for SLA details relevant to your location and requirements.
What speeds are available?
DIA is available from 10 Mbps up to 100G depending on your location and the access infrastructure in use. We will advise on available options during the quoting process.
Do you offer IPv6 on DIA?
Yes. IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack is available as standard on all DIA circuits. If you require a /48 or larger IPv6 allocation, speak to our team at time of order.
